hey guys,
After driving the truck, whenever I put it in park the idle shoots up about 500 rpm. If I goose the gas pedal it comes back down. None of the cables are hanging up, does anyone have any ideas.

What ever you do, do NOT touch the throttle body adjustment screw! We know you want to----but don't.

I would "pull codes" first, then check your IAC - idle air control valve located on the right side of the throttle body..clean it with throttle body cleaner only inside, make sure that all the cleaner has evaporated before you re-connect or you could possibly fry the solenoid attached....replace the gasket if necessary....

There are plenty of threads discussing IAC with pictures and refer to your Haynes Manual as well for TEST procedures...

Good Luck ~ :thumbup
