I have a 89 Bronco with a 302 and an Auto. AOD tranny, but it will not stay in OD and has a little bit of slipping in Drive, It has manual 4x4. I can get a AOD out of a 90 302 but it has push button 4x4? Will it still work?
The guy at the tranny shop just said it would not work??
That you can not use and elec. 4x4, it will not work in aBronco that has manual shift 4x4.
He said I can only use a AOD out of a truck that has a manual hubs and manual 4x4 shifting.
HELP
Here is your help and please show this to your tranny guy HE IS FAWKING RETARDED, now with that said, un bolt the automatic T-case remove the tranny and old t-case, install old t-case onto new tanny it will work with no problem.
On a side note find a new tranny guy
I replaced my AOD with an running AOD.
This is my 1st tranny swap.
All done and now it will not shift, well it shifts but will not move.
