[90.CaliBronco]

Hi all, been combing through all the posts, but can't find the one I read a few weeks ago that was a pretty good write up on someone converting their 90-92 bronco to MAF and if someone can help me by linking that write up, it would be much appreciated.

In the mean time I found a local yard with a 94 F-150, looked up the VIN and it has a 5.0 w/MAF, automatic trans and 4x4.

I have a 90 Bronco with 5.0 EFI, w/E40D trans. if i find out the 150 has an E40D, is that an easy plug and play swap? What parts do i need to take from the f150?

My parts list as I've gathered so far is (can you add to it for whatever else I need?:

• EEC
• Complete Wiring Harness
• Air intake components
• Mass air sensor.

far from plug n play. the wiring harnesses changed dramaticly in 92 so everything would need to be spliced in. and thats alot of wiring and figuering out. instead of swapping the wiring, its almost easier to repin your old wiring for the new PCM and then add the wires missing.

the 94 uses PSOM in the speedometer and rear axle ABS sensor to determine vehicle speed. 91 and older use the gear driven sensor in back of t-case for that. so without tuning you would have to rig up a PSOM and wiring to rear axle to make it work. this is needed for trans to shift correctly.

im blanking out right now but theres alot of issues doing that swap and unforseen issues.

you could use a Fiveology MAF kit. defiantly more expensive but more proven to work
