im gonna need to either rebuild my motor or replace it. i was looking around on craigslist and found a 95 302 for 400$ that came out of a mustang. would this work in my 84? would it bolt straight to the tranny? what else would i need ot make it work? never done an engine pull but i did buy the bronco as a project.
any suggestions/advice appreciated

its got the 351w. i did the compression test a week or so ago and all the numbers were low. i planned on rebuilding the motor after i swapped it but i wanted to spend the extra money and get better, newer parts but i also want to drive it too.

i agree, since your carbed you could stroke that motor to a 393 for the same cost as a regular rebuild. that newer 302 will give you know real performance gain over 351w

yes it would work but you would need the computer, maf, gas tank (if you stayed EFI) etc from a Fuel injected truck.
