Ok, ABS light came on, speedometer stopped working, hard shifting.
Codes showed rear speed sensor replaced no change
as well Programmable speedometer/odometer sensor, pulled checked working fine.
I believe that this all might be 1 problem connected to the truck's engine,
Any other suggestions the engine has 42,000 orig miles on it?

Could be corroded or damaged wiring for the speed sensor.Only way to really check it is to get a schematic and trace the wire, ohm check them for continuity. The trans is shifting hard because it needs the vehicle speed input to shift properly.Someone else may know where to find schematics online.

try simple stuff first...disconect battery...press brake pedal for 2 minutes(discharge risidual electricity)...reconnect neg terminal. test. resets computer. this was sugested by someone else, but I thought I would elaborate. if that doesn't work try the continuity test.

what they all said. check continutity in the wires to the speed senor, and last resort you can put it on a lift, and drive it slowly, and check the voltage singlas the rear wheel speed sensor is creating with a scope.
