Can the bearings on it be greased? Mine has been squeeling like a mofo the past couple weeks. I keep throwing WD40 at it but it only helps for a few minutes. I don't have to rebuild the alt do I?

WD 40 is worthless for that.
does the shaft have any play in it up and down yet?
you can suusally buy new bearings for them/ disassembling your alternator is easy, just set it on the bench and go to it. just dotn try pulling the stator out before disconecting its windings from the rectifier.

I'll have to check that. I won't have time until next weekend. It stems off the same issue I mentioned to you before about my tensioner being sloppy. The belt seems to have good tension but the squeel from the alternator is insane. It will go away after I rev it to 4-5k RPM's. And if I try to turn in tight quarters (my driveway) the p/s pump will slow because the belt is slipping and it will squeel some more.
