I've tried searching this and can't find anything that hits the right spot.

Ended up going through a big puddle a few weeks back. As soon as I pulled out of it, she starts "ticking". Then dies with the battery light all lit up. I rev her up and get her back home about half a mile down the road. Just as I'm pulling into the driveway, she dies. Barely caught her, revving hard and got her parked out of the middle of the road.

Just drove her today for the first time in a week or two on the freeway, and it was like nothing happened. I'm thinking alternator. Maybe a combination of things?
I've been told I just got too much water inside her.

Anything would help, thanks.

I was looking at some bigger alternators on ebay. Since eventually I need the amps to power lights and onboard stuff. I think I'm going to just buy a completely new one, since it's one of the only things on my truck that hasn't been replaced inside the engine compartment hah.
Thanks guys.
