Sorry I'm sure it's been covered but for some reason the search function sucks on the new site. And on this phone app. But I would like a wiring diagram for a stock 1991 302 alternator.

A wire is loose I have no idea where it goes and when I idle it starts to die out on me. Here's a picture



It's in a bundle of wires from the alternator, two wires cut off and have the twist caps on them. And it runs to the alternator solenoid. Any help would be great. Also one of the three wires coming directly from the alternator. One of them has been cut since I bought it bout 2 years back. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance

I don't think belt length changes enough to worry about. If it does, swap the pulley. But why do you care about that specific belt length? Wait until it's worn out, do the 3G swap, and buy whatever new belt fits. Then write the belt size on the engine somewhere.

Wow that really is simple. Welp, now I know the next upgrade to my truck. Would you recommend pulling a junkyard alt. or buying new?
