*Searched the forums and could not get a clear answer*

Trying to finalize my parts for the rear of my bronco and just need confirmation from the forum that I'm ordering the right shocks.

This is the parts plan.

Deaver j40's
Camburg Shackles,
Extended Brake lines

For now to save money I plan on using the stock shock mount location in the rear.

The rear shocks I was planning on ordering was the Bilstein 5150's, in a 12" length.

Is that to large of a a shock for the rear mount points? do I need to step it down to a 10" shock?

Eventually I would like to do the autofab rear shock mount, but $$ is an issue right now and i'm tried of looking at the j40's sitting in my house ;)

If using stock rear location I believe you'll need a 10" shock. A 12" will require a rear shock tower.

So if I use the 12" shock on the rear, under full compression the shock would bottom out and tear up right?

maybe i'll just hold off on putting the springs on until I can get the rear shock mounts raised.

thanks for the info
