I'm sitting here listening to the radio and figured I'd see if anyone else was around and wanted to see if we could make a contact..

HF = High Frequency
HAM = Licensed Amateur Radio operator.

Basically think of a CB running sideband, but legally being able to run enough power to talk all over the world..

I'm looking forward to the day I actually have the time and a place to set up a shack again. I had to leave the hobby for financial reasons so I'm not active anymore, but I really miss it. My Morse is pretty rusty too.

There is a thread here somewhere already with HAM stuff. Pretty sure people put up their info too.

To bad you can't search the Anything Else forum.

I haven't been using my radios much.. But I'm trying to leave them up for the times I have nothing to do.
