My 95 has new...axle joints, ball joints, tierod ends, drag link, dual rancho stabilizer etc. On a nice road its fine, but get on a road thats not perfect you have to stay right on the yellow line, otherwise the tires start fighting each other and its work to drive. Whats up wit dat?

The symptoms you've described are caused by a component in your front suspension called a TTB

Do you have a drop pitman arm for your truck? That could be part of the problem.

No lift, mostly stock 95 with 32x11.5 BFG AT's and my bronco steers fine. I guess ford did a decent job from the factory. I know many people hate TTB, but a lot of ranger and f150 guys that run in the desert actually like it. Now add a lift and boggers then complain about Ford? Nah..sounds like you expect your off road setup to work perfect on road. If you don't like the ride then put some decent road tires on and swap em out when you actually go on a trail or muddn. Everyone and their mom blames TTB right off the bat..ya it's not nearly as good as a straight axel, but you know what I'd rather be in a ford than a Heep any day. My girlfriend has a new TJ and while it's nice and has all the bells and whistles from the factory..I'd still take a Bronco any day.

I find it funny that there are "some" who say they wished they had stuck with the Heep, or cheby or whatever it was they had before because of something they found they didn't like about the Bronco. Guess what smart guy, every truck/off-road vehicle has some problem. If there was the perfect off-road/on-road vehicle everyone in their brother would own it and custom fabs and enginuity wouldn't exist. I would love to see a Heep pack in 5 (or 6 in some cases) people plus all camping gear. My longer wheel base allows me to climb stuff that Heeps wouldn't try. But their are trails Heeps can go on, that I can't. It's just a matter of finding something you like and fixing what wasn't perfect about it from the factory. So quit reminising about your ol' Heep, and go do an SAS, you will be much happier.

Just ruffling your feathers...I've got a '95 with Swampers it rides like shit too...I'm doing the SAS...I love my Bronc and wouldn't trade it for two heeps. But I don't understand how a jeeps any better...everyone I rode in rode pretty rough right off the dealers lot...it can't get alot better after you lift it..:shrug granted it may not have the "wandering" affect like our rides do, but thats because of the TTB. But hell everybody who wheels does alterations to their ride..one of ours just happens to be that we need to do front end work..:shrug But if you want drivability I'd bet money if you took off you'r suspension lift and put on 33 BFG M/T's (maybe even 35's with your flares) it'd drive like a lincoln! I know,.. I drove my '94 to OKC and back from south Ga...rode like a dream!:thumbup

To answer the original question, your TTB problem is explained here:

Ya but didn't they have rust and roof leaking problems? I know everyone has rust problems eventually, but I thought they were worse then most. Also, didn't the Power steering pump have some problems? :goodfinge :goodfinge

I think the frame cracks easily around the steering box, too.

My cousin has a boner stock 95 and his steers just like mine too. The past few weeks, i've been running 34x10.50 LTB's on 15x10's and its a LITTLE better. How about that Skyjacker Superrunner steering, is that a fairly easy mod seeing as though i have a skyjacker lift???
