Fmatters has his truck over at 4w in redondo right now and they are trying to charge him 850 for 2 ball joints and to repack the bearings. It was 1300. Anyone got a reliable front end shop they can recomend?

i once had a shop replace my ball joints for 800 bucks. couple weeks later my wheel bearings burned up lol. ever since then i've always done it myself. you can rent the ball joint press from Autozone for free.

You can also buy the tool from Harbor Freight on sale for $30 saves me the trip to the zone everytime I need it. I've used it for Ball joints, U-joints...and tool box hold down kit :toothless

Its not all that tough to do. just takes some tools and patience.:thumbup

He's basically to the point he will go where I tell him to go. I know it's not that difficult to change out these things I've done them before but I don't have the time to do them right now. Having him do them himself is well... laughable. Plus this is his DD so he needs to have this thing on the road ASAP.
