You know the kind I'm talking about, they have the ceramic bricks in them that turn red. Anyway, we have one at the end of the hall in our house, looks to be fairly new (just bought the house a year ago) and it just up and quit. I replaced the thermocoupling but it still won't light. The pilot will light, but when you go to turn the knob for the bricks to light up it just goes out. These things look super simple to work on but I have no idea what to look for.

sounds like your air valve is opened too much??? try adjust your air valve and see if that fix it.. i couldn't tell ya'll what it looks like cause there are so many diffrent model that it is not funny.

I'll look and see if I can find anything that can be adjusted, thanks.
