Average Joe 4X4 Mar. 16

Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 8 AM – 5 PM

6734 Sisler Rd Casa Grande, Az 85193

The Average Joe 4X4 is an exciting new concept in Off road Motorsports that will focus on the 4 wheel drive enthusiasts. Those of us that love to drive over rocks, thru mud, over steep gravel hills, and when the work week comes we proudly drive that same rig to and from with our "weekend warrior" scars. @Charles Kimbrell will be competing please come out help support him as well as the Az Bronco Club!

From @ckimbrell himself:
I watched the competition last month and entered for the next event. For me it's more about the chance to test my truck and find out what/where other vehicles do better/worse and why. There's bleachers to watch and if you want to compete the crowd loves it when there's something besides a Jeep. I'm taking my Bronco II and would be glad to help others who want to compete. There's classes from completely stock all the way to rock buggy's. Entry fees are cheap. Great time if ya love watching 4wheelers.

From @RicksBroncoBeast :

I am thinking about competing, but would need a spotter to help me navigate the course if I did...

I was checking it out the other day and my 4BTBB falls in the Super Modified...

Harquahala Mountain Summit Road April MnG 4.0 2019

DIRECTIONS: From North Phx. Take the I-17 north to the 74 Carefree Highway go west to the US-60 turn right head northwest to Morristown, Just past the Post Office on the right. We will be meeting at the Historic building that in its time has been many things but is specifically remembered as the Hotel or last stop before visitors made the 25-mile ride to Castle Hot Springs Resort. the corner of Grand Ave and 260th ave If you are coming from the South I-10 area. Take the I-10 west to exit 81 Salome road turn right/NW and follow Salome road to Eagle Eye Road turn right/north. The trail will be about 1/2 mile past mile marker 8 turn left/west and meet us at the trailhead at 9:15 am. 33.729548, -113.297282

The beauty of the desert with the view of the surrounding desert from the summit makes this a great off-road trip. At the top of the mountain, you can learn about the history of the observatory and the life of the scientists that worked there. BLM is offering you a chance to feel like you are on top of the world, a must see. It offers small SUV's the chance to try out their 4wd capabilities. As you ascend the mountain the terrain will turn from beautiful desert scenery to the rocky mountainside. The view at the top makes this trail worth taking. Don’t forget to sign the guest log at the observatory on the summit. If you look near the windsock you will find a marker embedded in a rock stating that you are at the highest point in SW Arizona. Information is provided about the observatory and the lifestyle along the side of the building that answers many of your questions. As for trail conditions a Stock Bronco with good tires and a working 4wd is all you need. The trail is in and back. It will take us approx 2 hrs each way to complete so 4hrs total. @BroncoGal27 & her husband are co-hosting the event and will be leading the trail.

October Adopt A Street Peoria Style

WE MOVED to PEORIA! We fulfilled our 2 yr agreement with the City of Phoenix, yet we still wanted to continue in the community involvement arena. Our new section of roadway is 99th Ave/Lake Pleasant Rd to 111th Ave on Beardsley. This section of roadway is tame in comparison to the last one. In fact, it is so tame that it has sidewalks on each side of the street. So come out get your steps in, all the while doing something worth Boasting about! Just be sure to wear your closed-toed shoes/boots. Bring Gloves, a hat, and water. We will cover the rest... Safety Vest, Pick up tools & trash bags!

We will be meeting behind the Walgreens 20266 n Lake Pleasant Rd. On Oct 5th at 9-11am.

October Overland MnG

When: October 12th

Location: Flagstaff to Jerome

Trail: Sycamore Canyon Loop 120 miles 1 way

Map: https://www.gaiagps.com/public/7hSirx8Wvmy8WGU3uLY8ZAvt

We will be meeting Saturday Morning at 9am in the Walmart parking lot. this will give everyone time to top off their gas tanks and grab that last minute item they forgot.
We will head out at 945 am so we can be on the trail by 10am. From there we will catch the trail off of 89A This portion of the trip will be 2wd, and we will follow a network of different trails and forest service roads to get to our first stop which will provide for a quick 30 min stop to relieve yourself of the morning coffee at a forest service facility and a few quick photos. From there we will proceed to our next stop which will be another quick 30 minutes to allow you to grab a quick snack and take some "amazing pictures". Afterwards we will continue on to our final spot for the day; Camp. By this time providing everything has went as planned it should be around 3pm. Here we set up camp, tend to our horses, prepare dinner and relax around a fire. The next morning we should be ready to roll by 9am. The last 30 plus miles will require 4wd, the trail will be rough going for approximately 20 of those miles. Our first stop will be at the ruins this stop will be about 3 hours long. (1hr to get there, 1hr there & 1hr back) the hiking trail to the ruins is steep and not for the faint of heart, on the back side it is narrow. From here we head back towards Jerome. We will make one quick stop at the Verde river bridge for a quick look a rocky canyon, then finally on to Jerome where we can either stop for a bite to eat at the Haunted Hamburger or for those that want to continue on down the mountain to head home. Even though 2/3 of this trip is 2WD, PLEASE make sure your Horse is in TIP TOP SHAPE. This trail is remote we will be on a strict time frame in order to complete the trail, a tow out will be time consuming & costly. Don’t ruin it for everyone else by “knowingly” going on such adventure with a lame Horse. Unexpected break downs happen! Negligence on the upkeep is unacceptable.

November 9th Tucson MnG

  • Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 8 AM
    Bashas'
    15310 N Oracle Rd, Tucson, Arizona 85739
Get you Bronco’s ready! Bronco not ready yet? Get your other 4x4 ready! THIS RUN IS OPEN TO ALL 4x4’s. Any make and model.
Charouleau Gap is a trail where your rigs capability will be tested. Trail is rated at a difficult-severe trail This trail has a variety of rock obstacles and climbs. The Gap brings you high into the Catalina mountains and gives you beautiful views of the city below.

The 4x4 REQUIREMENTS for this trail are MINIMUM 35’s, 4in lift, at least one traction device. HIGHLY recommend two lockers. There will not be any rigs allowed to participate in this run that are not capable in completing the trail. It is a safety issue and will not be allowed.

This trail is narrow in some areas, so if you don’t have bumpers, rocks sliders and skid plates, expect a possibility of body damage. During the prerun of the trail there was a rig that got turned on it’s side and I had to be pulled and winched through a couple spots.

This trail if run the full length is a minimum 8 hour trail with a few rigs and no breakage. Depending on rig count and the possible breakage on the trail will determine if we run the entire loop. The popular obstacles are on the first few miles of trails, the rest of the trail is no easier, and mostly harder than the popular obstacles in the beginning.

We will be meeting at the bashes in Oracle at 8:00 sharp! The address is posted above. There will be a Meet and Greet with a raffle, as well as T-Shirts, Stickers and other club swag. Even if you don’t have a rig for the run, stop by to meet some new people, participate in the raffle and grab some club swag.
