I found this Bronco on ebay. I waited until the last 20 seconds of the auction and still got outbidded. I had spent the last few days before the end of the auction corresponding with the seller. As luck would have it the winning bidder was a flake and seller contacted me. The truck was delivered to me in the OC from Hesperia today. Nice that I didn't have to make that 200 mile round trip.

I'm really happy with this new Bronco. It's a 1995 XLT all blacked just like my current Bronco. The only difference is that my daily driver has tan interior and this new rig has grey which is one of the reasons why I purchased this ride.

Here are a few stats:
1995
5.8 with 79,000 original miles
One owner
vehicle is in awesome condition, check it out.

Future Plans:
Mount my Solo Motorsports gear (radius arms and beams) I was saving for my Class 3 build. Deavers and Solo shackles.

Cosmetic:
Limo tint all the way around. Have the entire truck detailed.

Oh by the way, the seller knocked down the price by $500.00 if he could keep his wheels. He sent the truck with a nice set of rusty rollies, lol.

None yet Philo. It's sitting at my buddy's shop as I have no room at my house right now. I'm picking it up this weekend to head to the MDR race so I'll take some better pics then.
Nice ride, I'm really digging all the bolt ons.

Thanks Wally. Wow you've really changed your tune from your PM earlier this morning. I'm glad you've turned over a new leaf.

WAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! ha ha ha!!!!

You're such a cry baby. What is it with you babies from broncospeed? Why are you all such shallow ego stroking crybabies? Why start a fight with me and then go running to a mod? Anytime you want to post all the so called garbage I made feel free to post it with my condolences in the "anything else thread" but of course we both know you wont because you are both a wimp and are full of shit.

What can I say, I had time to reflect. ;)
Hey Randy,

Just a thought running in my head. Wondering if a TRE flip would be beneficial to the steering? Maybe 6 of one, half dozen of the other???
I suppose a johnny joint style end would be more ideal?
Your thoughts?

I've wonder the same thing Tom. Though I have a lead on an Autofab swing set steering kit that I think should solve any bumpster. Though I have to say that I haven't felt any bump steer in this 84 Bronco.
I only am asking here as I once again am trying to get more serious to building my rig again this winter. I have more time now that I'm not working a 8-6 job. Time to sell it or finish this project.
I think the swing set would be the better option than the TRE flip.
I'll probably "borrow" your photo and ask in other circles if you don't mind me doing so...
No problem Tom. I'll have better pics next week. Any thoughts on cross over steering Paul, Brian, Steve, Mark, others?
Flipping the tie rods would create more bump steer with stock pivots.
Flipping the tie rods would create more bump steer with stock pivots.

Why?
Your changing the geometry when you move the outer rods up or down with stock pivots. You want the tie rods and beam to be parallel during travel to reduce bump steer, flipping the outer tie rods causes them to be less parallel.

Ha - you shouldnt have asked. But here goes.
I have stock steering with no issues to describe. 18" of travel.
Chris has bent 2 tie rods and decided to ignore the fact that the HD unit described in another thread did not bend he had gwent to a ram assist custom crossover built and designed by Glen. It looks beautiful and is very expensive. Result it steers easier and has no bad things to discuss - Just like the stock setup. However with all heims and heavy 4130 tubes it has to be many times stronger.
Kurt has the first generation crossover setup by Glen and he is also happy.

Both Chris & Kurt drove many thousands of miles with the stock setup before deciding to do the upgrade. Maybe if I start driving as hard as Kurt or Chris I will start bending or breaking stuff and will re think the issue? All three broncos have the same front setup, beams, arms, shocks, towers, Heims, & travel. I think Kurt has 37 projects and Chris & I have 35 Bajas.

I have Chris' album and need to find time to post the eye candy for his latest reincarnation of Ol Yellow. Later when I figute out Super Moters.

Lots more important details to resolve thatn a new steering design. Mine has issues again. To many miles and to little attention. sigh.

Many Baja miles and no problems with this set up, 1.250 x .250 4130 tie rods with 7/8" hem ends. If you are going to drive hard and don't like being stuck in the boonies, it is a worthwhile investment. IMO, the reason for going to swing set steering is for the strength. The stock set up works well until you hit something wrong and bend the rods, the bump steer improvement is insignificant.

Here is some new pics of the Autofab Fiberglass fenders mounted, new steel hood and mirrors mounted. Unfortunately I didn't take any pics of the engine cross member.
