I know how to do ball joints.. That's not the question.. I've done them before on a 78 and an 87..

I have a haynes for the 73-79 trucks and broncos, and a Chilton the 86-96 trucks and broncos.. Where in the world in these books are the instructions on how to do the ball joints? (I'm interested so I can't point someone to one of my books on how to replace them)

Either in the front axle section or in the suspension section, I have to hunt for it when I look for it myself.

I went through the Suspension and Steering section and it wasn't in there.. I thought I covered the front axle good to and didn't see it.. I feel dumb now.

OK, I gave up looking for the info in the Haynes manual. For the Chilton's (Ford Pick-ups and Bronco 76-86) it is on page 7-59 under the drive train section.
