What’s the best/correct battery that fits the stock tray? Every parts house website lists group 56 batteries, but I’m always seeing people say group 65 is what to get. Is there a clear answer to that?
looks like the 65 is about 2 inches longer and an inch wider, and inch shorter in height. No ideas abojt terminalsHave you compared dimensions on both?
Where are the terminals on both?
Do you see any issues relating to the higher CCA? I keep seeing online that a higher CCA battery won’t last as long in hot climatesAll the full size truck use a 65 and so does my mercury. In both I have 1000 cranking amp batteries.
In TX it's more about the heat soak in summer. An average battery will be 850 cranking and 650cca which is fine for a small block but I like more. a super start extreme is 1045 ca 850cca. You want more power when the starter is hot from hours on the highway.Do you see any issues relating to the higher CCA? For $20, I'm taking that 1000 amper all day long. I just put an older 65 in one of my fox bodies.Good to know. So I should get the 850 CCA, 1000 CA one?
