I've just removed the u-joints on my axle shafts on my '79 Bronco and had a really hard time getting them out. They were really, really rusted in.

As I was trying to install the new u-joints, I realized that I couldn't get the internal half-moon clips in because two of the yokes (one on each shaft) were bent.

What's the best method of bending it back? (with heat?) And is it safe to do so?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If i was you,I would replace the yoke.I dont think it would be safe but thats just me.I guess i want to cherish my life while im driving even though we have other knuckle heads that could kill us

Don't bend.... replace

:stupid I have tried and used on that was not perfect and had to replace it after a short time because it just got worst
