So im going to soon see about rebuilding my trans, sending it out to do it but i need to give them the parts to do it.
Whats the best kit that doesnt break the bank? cause i could just get the bottom of the barrel one but i want a decent one for the money.

Or atleast any brands i should look into? thanks :)

Get a new $40 transmission oil pan that comes with a drain plug (or weld a plug into your pan):

Get the Punisher valve body for lots of fixes and better performance:

Ask the Punisher seller for his recommendation on a good rebuild kit to work with his valve body. He used to rebuild these tranny's so he'll know what to suggest.

Nice article on beefing up the E4OD during rebuild:

What kind of transmission shop requires you to bring your own parts? That's crazy.

When I worked at a few different car repair shops in my younger years anyone who brought their own parts forfeited any warranty and the shop rate doubled.

Personal opinion - any shop that tells me I have to pull the trans and supply my own parts (how would I know what to buy before the trans is even diagnosed, much less opened?) doesn’t want my business.

Do not be surprised if they slow walk the rebuild. This shop is telling you they don’t want the business and are looking for ways out of being fully accountable for the job.

I only continue to chime in because I think you can do better than what you’ve described so far.
