Well, since it looked like the PO had replaced the stock fuel pump relay, I don't think it ever occurred to test it, like I did. It was bad. I installed a new one and to my pleasant surprise, when I turned the key, I heard the fuel pump whir to life for a second, then cut off! I turned the key more, and it roared to life! So I shut everything down, started cleaning up, and crawled under the Broncosaurus to say goodbye to the blue wire!

Somehow, I convinced the wife I needed to drive the Broncosaurus to work for shakedown run purposes. Good thing, too. I think the tailight short was tied to the cigarette lighter. To you young folk, it's the accessory plug. The plug doesn't work now. Which means I had to use a speedometer app on my phone, instead of the GPS. I'll sort it out later 😉

electrical gremlins are my kryptonite
same, one of the reasons I went back to a bullnose. a lot less stuff to worry about, and that's all Im having to work on right now, gauges, power windows, high beams, radio, etc. But it runs and drives fine.
