you didn't state what year it is, but i put a 3" body lift on a '89 once, and i just had to slit the shifter boot a bit, and push the shifter into 2wd really hard. It would stay in 2wd, but was really easy to pop into 4hi
Ogeechee At first i notched the tunnel and it looked like shit. I made my shifter to look better and not have the tunnel cut. I ended up using a 4x2 manual pan and cutting my own slit in the tin for the shifter and using the tranny shift boot from an 84 to cover the tcase shift hole. The 2wd pan has a gradual strp and no dip as the 4wd pans do. Any way kacy your gonna end up cutting the hump cover about 3"L x 1 1/2"W to the top of the existing shift hole. It's a trial and error when doing the cutting. youre gonna have to cut and fit. If youre interested i'll post pics of the straight shift.
