Hope you can see the measuring tape. Notice I'm unable to get my hand completly around the tubing! Mind you I don't have overly large hands either. :doh0715: DSC05455.jpg

Still collecting parts, got my springs and spring buckets the other week. Just picked up some new warn locking hubs off of ebay. But still need gears (4.88 -5.13), shocks, rotors/hubs and calipers. Oh and DOM and chev tie rods. Just trying to pick off the bigger stuff befor I build so I don't have to fork out all that money on the build day.

OK sold my gears and axles so now the SAS begins!!!!!!!!! Perhaps one of the moderators would be so kind to change the subject to something like BOSSIND’s Excellent Adventure to SAS. I'm ordering new gears (4.88) and lockers so thats going to slow things down a bit, but the fab can begin. DSC05637.jpg

Zip ties come in handy for keeping things like the drive shaft out of the way.

Ok more work being done, only doing a couple hours a day on her. Been cleaning the parts as they come off as ell for resale.

Using a brazing tip to heat the top of the shock bolts, this way I don't melt the plastic inner fender.
DSC05675.jpg

Once I had the shocks off I changed tips and went with the cutter and blow the rivits off.
DSC05676.jpg

Punch the rivis through and off comes the shock mount. Lots of rust
DSC05677.jpg

Again notice my axle stands!! keeps the truck from bounching on the hoist and makes me feel safer.
DSC05683.jpg

Grind the rust off. The black pipe is exhaust, helps pull/suck the crap away.
