Sudden brake fade

The problem is every once in a while, I'll put the brakes on, and the pedal will all of sudden go to the floor. My ABS light, which is continually on, goes off after this happens. The brakes function normally after this occurs, and ABS light comes back on the next time the truck is started. I searched, and in the following thread "http://fullsizebronco.com/forum/showthread.php?t=28209", Gacknar says master cylinder is leaking internally. I am wondering if "those in the know" think this might be my issue as well?

Gack is one of those "in the know," but I understand the need for a second opinion.

A sinking pedal like that is almost always indicative of a bad master cylinder.

I would agree that it does sound just like a bad master cylinder, one of the most-scary situations any Bronco driver can experience. I'm not so sure about your ABS light behavior, though. Could you pull the codes from the ABS and report them back here?

I wasn't by any means doubting Gack, at least I certainly didn't mean it to sound that way.

Thanks for the input. :beer I'll see about those codes.
