Will it hurt anything if it stays broke for about 2 weeks? I'm going to be hunting/working alot in the next couple of weeks and I'm not going to get a chance to fix it. The crack is all the way around on both sides. It's pretty annoying and loud.
Also--Should I just buy a new one or go pull one off at the junkyard?

I bought a used one from a salvage yard that deals in only Ford parts. I figured I got about 160k out of mine and the price was right. I didn't want to shell out the cash for headers. You're probably looking at around $35 bones. As far as driving it around for two week like that, my passenger side was cracked clean through and I drove it for almost a month. It's not good for it, besides the annoying noise, you could possibly burn up your valves. Good luck.

Push it together, weld what you can then use muffler cement to seal the rest

But i would clean it up, and slap some JD weld on it, Mainly to quiet it down

Jb weld only works till about 500*F. I think it burns off above that tempature.

Used JB weld on mine, it lasted for about 2 days..

I burnt JB off of my collector after about 2 miles. So I took the stick welder to it and it doesn't leak anymore.

i have my stock exhaust manifold if your interested pm me. there in great shape no crack's and put new stud's(from ford cost 25.00) before removing them.

Go to your local marine repair and ask for Marine-tex. It worked on my manifold.

I used this on mine http://www.por15.com/product.asp?productid=7 ......... no sandblasing, just cleaned it up and applied liberally ........ that was in July or August ... so far so good. Even after a few deep mud/water runs where the top of the engine was totally covered with heavy splash/spray .. no leaks
