Well, no better time to start it than on the way home grabbing the first meal of the day.

Made the 10hr road trip into the dark and slept in my truck in a rest stop parking lot, but it was worth it. I'll have more pictures once I've got it home and given it a good scrub, but here it is, #6, #5 concurrently and hopefully the last one I'll need.

It's cleaner than it looks, this thing is bonkers... I can't stop staring at it in the mirrors.

Got it home, scrubbed it down and took a few pictures.

Fairly straight but totally solid.

Going to have to do something about that dent on the fender.

A backing plate, I've never seen on in tact before!

Wow, not only is the axle still painted but you can see the original QC paint on it.

Super duper clean rockers.

Not used to seeing anything behind the rear tire let alone something with paint. I also didn't realize that shackles and hangers were ever painted either.

The inside is grim, I've got a few hours of work before I even want to point a camera at it. That's going to be one of the tougher parts of this build.

Time for some rest... thanks Craig!

Yeah, I just need to protect it from these crap MN elements so I can sleep at night.

Going to wash it again, try and get some tailgate glass in it and stash it away for Winter.

Whoops, bought another one....

This one is a bit nasty but it has seats, dash and most importantly the rear side panels I'm missing for my Goergia Bronco. I should be able to fix up at least two different Broncos with this one.

Yeah, that is six. This rust bucket is for the 100% in tact Eddie Bauer interior and some other bits for my other trucks. No title, doesn't run (right now, I'll try) and it's had mice in it for some time, lots of damage from them. I'll have to take a picture from the bottom to compare it to the other, I didn't even want to touch it when I was strapping it down.

If you ever want to sell one or two of those aluminum wheels I've been looking for a couple for a while now. If the price was right after shipping of course.

I'll keep you in mind, they are in surprisingly good shape compared to the rest of the truck.

Right on. Been wanting a full size spare and might have a bent wheel or axle yet to be diagnosed.

I was annoyed that I couldn't get the tailgate working and I searched through a bunch of threads and remembered you can bypass the safety switch (has been for years on my 96) and that would probably fix my issue... and did. The bushings are shot on the posts, so it could be that, but I just don't need the hassle. I got the motor moving from the tailgate buttons but then it stopped shortly, first time I've experienced that on any of my Ford power windows but I knew what to do. I cleaned everything out, got me some 3/8 nuts and in they went, tight fit, but a good one. Motor now moves up really nice but is slow down, not sure if it is designed to be that way but I figure with the weight of the glass on the mechanism it should be fine. I need to figure out why it doesn't work from the switch on the dash, probably a wire or the switch.

I don't know why I had to do this now, in the dark in my pajamas, but it's done and I'm waiting for glass. Still holding out on getting something local, in due time.

I decided to clean off my trailer and I wasn't doing anything but driving that Bronco off of it.

I started with pouring 6 gallons of fresh gas in the tank and pumping everything out with the fuel pump through the fuel rail. Went fast, gas smelled bad but didn't look horrible. I put a little more fuel in it and tried the key, the solenoid would click but no crank, a simple jump with a screwdriver and it fired right up! It has 13' tabs on it, so I assume it could have been the first time it's ran in a little over 7 years.

Power steering is good, zero brakes. I went for it anyway, right off the back of the trailer with no ramps :ROFLMAO: Left a nice pile of rust and I was off into the yard. I tried 4wd and it went right in, got it stopped and it went into low range, total score! I climbed a good hill and then went out back for some doughnuts to find no posi :( I needed to smoke some tires but with no brakes I had to get creative. Doughnuts! Yes, so I got it up on the edge of my driveway, cranked the wheel and put it to the rug. Up in smoke in no time and things were going great until I flew into the back. Did I mention that I had the seats out of it and I was siting on the floor? :D I went down into the front swamp, stabbed the 4wd button and pedaled it as I know it gets really deep in that swamp. Luckily it was frozen enough and I came out the other side in tact. What a blast, now I've got 5 out of 6 Broncos on the property running and driving, ALL passing the burnout test.

I need to fix the brakes, it's going to need some lines and probably a master, easy enough. I'll rob all the tan interior out of it and I'm not quite sure what I'll do with it. It only has 140K on the clock and it runs really good. Best part of all, my wife caught all the action from the picture window in the kitchen.. haha.

I had to line it up with the rest of what's park in the side yard.

I bought another parts vehicle a few weeks back, a 94' EB.

I'll be getting started with this project next month, things are going to get SPICY! The parts are piling up.

By chance do you have a drivers side armrest that you are willing to part with? I figured one of your 123 broncos may have one.

While you're getting ready to restore one of many I'm needing the 3rd tail light (high light on the top) and the wiring harness to it. Let me know if you are willing to part with one off of one of the 96 models, please.

Thank you,

Richard

Getting close to doing some stuff with this again...
182170

I wanted to get the windows up and the rear tailgate was giving me a fuss. I spent a whole lot of time learning the ins and outs of the rear window wiring schematic only to find that my dash switch was the culprit, at least I know all the wiring and connectors are fairly pristine.

Earlier this year I gutted everything out of the inside, needs a good bath still.

Weird, never seen paint here before :D

Just dirty.

Pulled Peach into the garage and started yanking parts off of it to make room for activities.

After we got the front clip off I pushed it outside and let me son go at it with the pressure washer.

Still waiting on fuel system parts, hopefully I ordered enough line and fittings to get everything done.
