Here's another one for ya. First off, a refresher, I have an 89 with a transplanted EFI 5.8 and a transplanted c6 from the same period. BKO starts and runs smooth. Goes down the road and seems to shift through the gears fine. The problem, when I kick her into the passing gear, it acts like it wants to dog right out. There is no popping or backfiring, just VERY noticeable lack of power until I let off and it shifts back into drive. What is the cause for this? I have tried adjusting the cable following my Haynes but the pictured set up looks to be from a 460 set up which is different from the 5.0/5.8s. There was nothing to 'ratchet'. Is it still adjustment or something else.

On a side note--I did search but only came up with a post referencing the Haynes write up.

Thanks
