I had to do the same job on my truck in the last few weeks. Broke so many left hand bits trying to get it. Ended up buying a nice Cobalt drill set, drilled it larger, and Helicoiled it. Turned out very nice as I believe that hole is a through hole. Good luck

@MojoJojo I'm curious which bolt extraction set you were referencing? The link you previously shared was for an Irwin Screw Extractor Set, not specifically for "bolts"? It was this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00004YOBF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Cq04DbSKH21CQ

Got a link to a preferred heavier-duty bolt specific version?

Thanks!
They say “screw extractors” but if you read down there multi use YMMV I have an older quality set Easy-out is what the case says and there the exact same design as those but if I were to buy another set it would be these (he said inexpensive) Topec 25Pcs Screw Extractor Set, Hex Head Multi-Spline Easy Out Bolt Extractor Set, Premium High Carbon Steel Rounded Bolt Remover https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YBWNCZV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_sYA6Db6E44KAF

I just read that I may run into issues removing the head bolts too.
Gonna start Googling that now.
That would really, really suck if I broke a head bolt when replacing the heads this weekend.
Snap on makes a nice set - I found one on eBay for about $50 and it actually worked pretty well.
