Just to make sure, have you tried putting it in neutral and coming to a complete stop before trying to put it in low?

Rept....I did mean the tranny in neutral. Sorry if I wasn't clear on that.

I'm sure there is some sort of sensor for this. I'll see if I can find it in the Haynes.
