Wow Ive never seen one like that! Looks very good! How does that setup sound? Im wanting to add a 10" sub eventually and that looks like a cool place to put it
Nice work, you going to carpet it?
Sweet job on the console. Ive been thinking about the same basic idea but rased in the center to mount my cb, ham, and scanner.:thumbup

like i told you man, looks terrific...

but to all those who are now going to attempt this build... i started linin mine up today, and i dont know about the other body styles, but on the 87-91 tyles, the dash part with the cd player is slanted, and wont line up worth a sheize... also, so is that bigass hump in the middle.. just lettin yall know... good work though bronco boy......... :thumbup
What did you use to cover the frame?
Did you have someone do this?
Thanks all.

Mrit: The sub sounds good. It only requires .75 cu ft, so it was perfect for this application.

EvilBronc: Carpet it? And cover the vinyl? No way!

Fireguy50: Oh ya baby! :D

Hwy Apostle: Your idea would work, you would just have to allow some clearance for the t/case shifter.

Kenny: The front of the console has to be angled to follow the contour of the dash, and the floor is so "humpy". Those were the two most difficult parts.

Thanks. To bad it wasn't done by one. :D
MAN! That is EXACTLY what I am wanting to do. I have ordered a Kicker SoloBaric 12 and an 1800W amp. I was going to mount it in the console just like that with the sub in the back of it and the amp in the bottom with some fans and covered in plexiglass.

If you have any plans for that I would LOVE to have them!!

AWESOME!!

Sorry [email protected] (and others), I have no plans. It was all in my head. Over the past few years I saved pictures of others that had made consoles and came up with how I wanted mine to look. I can never plan, I just go for it. :D
Looks very very nice man. Better then most after market stuff you see...For probably a 1/3 of the price.
No plans?! :twak :)

well...that's too bad...the pics will help...hope you don't mine me using your's as a template.

How did you do the bottom contour of the truck? I see the bottom of the console is wavy...I imagine that is to follow the floor line. How did you determine that?

Thanks. Seeing as how you can't buy anything like this, it is priceless :)

Help yourself. That's what the pics are for. The floor line was the tuffest. I made a cardboard template of the approx size of the side wall, then used a protractor to draw the floor line on the cardboard. Then this was transferred to a piece of wood, and a lot of adjusting was required. All in all getting the floor line to work was about 2-3 hours for the 2 pieces. Pancience is need for this part. :)
