I am replacing my U-joints and my rear axle is a Double Cardan. When I pulled out the Centering Socket Yoke and looked down in the bearing I noticed it looked like it was missing a pin needle or two (the same things inside a U-joint cap). Its been like that for at least 16 years, the last time the U-joints were replaced. Cant get a picture, using my phone right now.

Since its worked for 16 year I am guessing its ok?

If it ain’t broke....

If it’s not causing a problem I wouldn’t worry about it. But if an issue arises in the future, that’s the first thing I’d check.

Yeah figured just wanted to make sure. Did you take a look at my dust seal Q? I put a picture up on the post.
