Glad your coming Mark, I vote for that 82 I've heard so much about. Randy told me a few days ago that he plans to go if it doesn't conflict with another trip he's planning.

So how 'bout it Austin crew, anyone else?

Been pretty good, got lockers and gears since we last wheeled together. Tried them out at Long Ranch on labor day and a great time out there. I'd don't know if you've heard, but there's a trip to Buckholts on Saturday. I'll be at that one, too.
no buckholts for me.......gotta finish up the bronco and other things.

cant wait to see what you can do locked.......i just dont get to see too many broncos out on the trail

The lockers make a HUGE difference (as I know I don't have to tell you ;) ) so much so that now it climbs so well that body/frame flex buckled the rear quarters. You can see it about 6 inches rearward of the door handle in this photo:

I guess the cage is now bumped to the top of the priorities on my "list" of stuff for the Bronco. Hopefully that will stiffen it up a bit. I could just put the hard top back on, but I love the open air feel way to much.:toothless

My 82's engine is on it's last leg:whiteflag, it knocks above 2,500 rpm, but it might as well die out at longs ranch!!! I could always use the 87 as a back up.:histerica I talked to justshootme84 (aka randy) and he was going to sign up today, so he's in with the 78 bronco:chili:

OK I bought some old school 33inch tires off of craigslist last nite for $125.00, so randy yours are safe!! I informed my boss that I was bringing the 82 back to the shop for maintance, and that it would only be there for two weeks, so I"m bringing both bronco's:chili: great I can tear up two trucks:banghead

I'm hoping to make it out there, but I'll be flying back to Austin that Friday afternoon so it'd be pretty hectic to get out to Llano by a reasonable time. I'll do what I can, though.

Of course, I'll be in the Jeep. :goodfinge

Valve covers gaskets done on the '87 and the rear brakes are on my tool box. Frank (tx460bronco) is going to help me fetch the '82 on thursday after work, and I ordered a dana 50 axle assy to repair the blown to bits one. Just need some cheap 15x10 wheels!!! it's all coming together:chili:

Well we flat towed my '82 back last night, and everything was fine untill the left front wheel passed us!! Tore up the rotor and hub. Went back to my shop and stole the parts off the '87 to get it back into town:banghead Needless to say my boss was anthting but impressed with a p.o.s. bronco outside and the '87 disassembled on a lift!! now just have to buy more parts, and save up for a trailer. Just six days to fix two bronco's, (can't fix stupid)
