I needed to throw some 8 lug rotors onto my 79, so i could use the 5 lug stuff for another project

Lol this is just so it can roll, the truck dosent even have a Master cylinder.

I needed the 5 lug stuff for something else.

I have been wanting to do this exact thing on my 79 to run a rear dana 70. Can you give some details of the swap? Such as what did the 8 lug stuff come off of, and what all did you have to swap to fit the 8 lug rotors? I want to do this as cheap and easy as possible because there is a front 60 in the works. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

i did the same swap. i used late 70s f-250 dana 44 parts

did you need to swap the knuckles at the ball joint or just the spindles and rotors? And, can you use the same locking hubs? What do I need from the junkyard and what can be salvaged from the 79?

You do not have to switch the knuckle. your 79 hubs will still work
