These part numbers are not totally truly/strictly 1 Ton TRE's.

In any case the parts are nice, I've used mine for a year now, probably about the best parts you can get all with 7/8x18 TPI, cheap, available, and best for safety IMO (don't like using rod ends in steering for daily driven street/offroad rigs).

damn, well that sucks, looks like i used the wrong ends too.
also looks like i'm stuck using the wrong ends. the correct "1 ton" ends are shorter than the smaller ones.
so, it looks like when he orders his inserts, he's gonna have to have 2 7/8" ends, and 2 1" ends, right a lefts.

Well look at it this way. They all are the same thread size. 7/8 18tpi 2 left and 2 right. 2 are 1 ton 2 are 1/2 ton so if you do the math you end up with 3/4 ton steering, lol.

I was asking if there was a junkyard steering "arms" that I could scrounge to install the tres in.....

one last question, if he orders the "true" 1 tons stuff, the only part that will need to be reamed will be the pitman arm right?

As long as he is running high steer arms that are drilled for "1 ton" tres.....

alan he's going to need to open up the knuckles a bit as well if he's running ford stuff the chebby tre that has the hole in it is used for a steering stabilizer and that will need to be reamed to accept the tre to hook in the drag link
