A little info on the truck. 91 Ford EFI 460. I recently changed my spark plugs, wires, rotor, and cap. while not at highway speeds or while off road, my CEL does not come on. However, when I get to 45+ MPH, it turns on (I wanted to check here before I went and spent the money to get it read).
While I was buying the parts, the Napa guy asked me if my truck was EEC or not? Apparently the spark plug wires are different in some way if it was. I did not know, so he went off to ask someone. He assured me that EEC in these trucks is rare and I prob didn't have that so we went with the non EEC wires. Could this be causing my CEL to turn on (Maybe I do have EEC?)
The only other thing I did was plug my vent tube that goes from my valve cover to my airbox... but even when I run it open, the CEL still turns on at speed. Any ideas? Thanks guys
