Dont ever go back to that Napa for fear of running into that guy again. He's a moron. EEC refers to your computer that runs the engine. All fuel injected engines have a computer. The EEC is the box behind the drivers side kickpanel. It runs everything, including your check engine light...which leads me to my next statement.
Check your codes. Even if the light goes out, the code is still stored in the computers memory and can be pulled. That will tell you why its on.
And leave that vent tube open. It draws clean air into the crankcase. The PCV system pulls dirty air from the crankcase and sends it to your intake. (Positive Crankcase Ventilation).
