there is no need for 4 wheel drive when your going like 100+mph, its not like your going to get stuck on a sand trail going that fast.

fewer parts to break, it's easier to get more wheel travel when you don't have to worry about d. shafts and u-joints, there's less weight to make the truck nose down during jumps...it's cheaper...

damon, its an F-150. 2wd is popular because its cheaper, and you can VERY easily get a lot of travel, especially from bent or extended I beams with longer heimed radius arms.
