Will Dana 44 gears out of a chevy work in a Ford Dana 44? both are reverse rotation.
I sorry if this was already talked about, I couldn't find it though.

wow, he found the unicorn, sasquatch, and the loch ness monster, all at once! If indeed that chevy is a reverse rotation, then it's using a Ford axle already

Yeah, what Chevy used an RCD44? The IFS units were corporate diffs, no?

To maybe clarify the issue: the carriers are interchangeable, but the ring and pinion are totally different from standard to reverse cut.

Just to cut through the Satire :lolup Ford was the only company to use the RCD44 front end .... Dodge, Jeep and Chevy (Yes, I said their names, I'm going to hell now, but at least I'm driving my Bronco there!) have used the D44 front axles but these were all standard cut (same as a rear application D44). for more info the best site I've found so far on the subject - http://77cj.littlekeylime.com/web_rs44.html
