t-dogg's post about shock mount failure has gotten me thinking about what shocks i really want to put on when i do my 2" lift...

i was going to go with rancho's rs5000, just cause i thought they are good, had rs9000 on my last truck and liked them.

but im looking for a little bit of a softer ride for this truck, but i would also like it to handle better and be just as sturdy and absorbant off road.

i have the dual front shocks as well.

for the money i think i might just go with motorcraft!

any suggestions?

Rancho 5000s are hydrualic shocks... the same ones I have on my wife's bronco... all 6 of em. and even tho I've removed two already, the ride is still alot harder than I like. I've had skyjacker Nitros before, and I loved em. In fact, I'll be taking the skyjackers off my other bronco, and putting them on my wife's, when I can get around to doing a shackle flip.

Gas shocks give a better ride than hydraulic shocks do. Edelbrock's AIS shocks are looking pretty good, for those that don't have the Rancho 9000s
