I am helping my son rebuild his transfer case on his '71 Bronco. Need some advise on the best way to clean the case up to paint.
Will engine cleaner do the job or is there something else that would work better?
without a doubt brake cleaner!! Dont squirt it on any seals on purpose though!
I found rubbing alcohol to really work good to just get a little bit of oil off when I painted my engine, so If you want to use that after you get the major gunk off that would be cool.
