Yep sounds like a silver Quarter. I have like $20 worth. Some kid gave me them for money I lent him.. Worth like $5 each at the time:)

Thats 684 1976 quarters, 442 1976 Halves, 9 1976 dollars, 20 susan b dollars, 90 wheat pennys, 28 silver quarters and a bunch of other random items. nothing too special really.

Either you were born in '76 or you have a thing for bi-centennial money. I've got 25 Kennedy half-dollars, some Morgans, a widows mite and some other stuff.

I used to be hard core into collecting pennys. My dad made a big mistake and gave me a $25 box of pennys for Christmas one year... I went threw 4 of them in a month just pulling out pennys I wanted, putting in regulars and wrapping them back up.

I'm a history buff so to me there is something special about holding a coin that was minted in 1881 or older. The widows mite dates back to biblical times.
