I have a 2wd ZF that I want to convert to 4x4 and bolt my BW1356 to it. Is it possible to use the parts from my Mazda M5OD? Or is it even possible to convert at all? I don't have any money into this transmission so I don't mind spending a couple hundred bucks on it.

I looked for a 4x4 ZF but they are hard to come by around here. The link is quite interesting as well as helpful. Hopefully the same basic stuff aplies to the M5OD.

If you have a ZF, why would it be helpful in your case if it was similar to an M5OD?

I mean the info on the link. He modified the transfercase adapter from the old 3-speed. I'm hoping I can do the same from the M5OD adapter.
