Yes just welded to floor on NHRA approved 6*6 plates. I am well aware of short comings of doing it this way, will be fine for the level of dumb plan to do with this truck.

I got lucky on the pump seal. Once it cooled off truck is ok now. I would expect it to do again if start towing with it (its a 350 so thats gonna happen) at least can drive it now tho. lost 3 gallons of fluid.

Got some new speedhut gauges for the 78.
Excited to put those in. Also have new coolant temp sensor and few other things to go on it.

New coolant sensor is good. Was 22 off now only 2 off of IMT

starts a bunch better in the cold now with a coolant temp sensor that is accurate. Will be just ordering different sensor if use Sniper in future.

So on the sniper subject. If you have a laptop with the holley software you can apply an offset to the coolant temp sensor (as well as many others). The sensors should still be a lot closer then mine was, but this would be a good way to use the normal sensor too (assuming you know what the actual temp is).

Also sold the white F-350. Just was not gonna work for what I wanted to do.

Have some parts ready to go on the '78 too
