Have wheels and tires on the way for the 96. Went with some old school AR23's.
Likely do a small level kit, soft top, some bumpers, and drive it. This on is gonna stay on 30/31 inch tires.

New King 2.5" triple bypasses from Desolate, for the rear now on Order for the 78. Extremely interest to see what difference new stuff out back is going to make.
Also picked up their stage 1.5 leveling kit (the one with new radius arms) for the '96. Which I should have my new wheels/tires for this week too.

Really like how these look on this one. went with just a 30" tire. Re-did the exhaust, it now has a Summit magnaflow knock off, then about 1' of pipe and a turn out. P.O. already had set of shorties and a magnaflow y-pipe with their high flow cat on it. Its about the perfect tone for me.

Do you have any pictures or video of the exhaust?

The 30's look nice on it. Keeps it mostly stock looking, but does give it just a slightly more aggressive stance.

Exactly what I am shooting for. It will get a leveling kit once my skid from desolate shows up, so should look even better then. The stock coils are saggey 196K mile ones.
Will see about getting an exhaust video. Its not loud (tho that is subjective), just a nice tone. Deeper tone then straight piped stock setup, but about the same loudness. Just right for a driver in my opinion.

I like the 32's I have for now. Not too tall, but I can crawl under it without jacking it up if I need to check on anything. Debating on either lifting it eventually, or just replacing the stock springs and shocks. That will give some nice lift on its own. (I have to assume its not lifted or leveled right now, I can't tell for sure.)

Really like this desolate leveling kit. Install wasn't bad at all. Worst being taking old upper alignment cams out.
Got this kit

Has long arms with hiems. More of a low-lift performance setup.
It's sits almost perfect now. Right at 1/2" rake with rear slightly higher.

This desolate kit works

I put my traction bars back on, They do not limit the travel on this bronco.
Backed it out of shop and blew rear brake line, lol, salt life stuff. So will be fixing that tomorrow.

Can you show a before and after picture? I'm liking the way it looks. You said this is going to be a daily driver, right?

ETA: Is this kit the one you got? And are you going to replace the leaf springs?
Not sure what before pics you need? The only before ones I have on this bronco are already in the thread. I did not try and see the droop of a the stock setup.
Yes that Desolate 1.5 kit is the one I have on this '96 now. I am un-decided on the rear springs. Gonna run it a bit and see if I want to swap them out. If I do it will be for some q-80's with shackles made to set the ride height to be reasonable with the front/IE Low to no lift.
My gut says for daily duty, these stock springs will be fine. Especially since I am only running the Bilsteins 5100's all the way around. If I even go to nicer shocks down the road spring upgrade will likely happen. This all depends on how rowdy I actually get if/when I take this one out in the sand. That said I have several other toys for that purpose. I have no plans of making this one a real pre-runner. Tho it might look like is trying to be.

I am shooting to daily this one yes. But I want it to be more capable then a stock one at the same time. My experience with other heim jointed arms is good, and I wanted them for this one too. Even on the street I like the non-binding movement and the small amount of extra feedback get due to the solidness.

I was able to get a good idea flipping back and forth. I was just hoping you might have any pictures of the same angle before and after to see how the stance looks.
Are Q80s stock height springs, or are they lifted?

q80s are lift springs, usually get 2-4" but lot of variables
They are also 2.5" wide vs the 3" stock on bronco so you need spacers and shackles or just spacers. longer shackle will also effect to ride height, as will removing the stock wedge and welding on new perches at correct angle. Weight of your truck, the stuff in it, etc....

Also this truck has 197k miles on it, the before pics in this thread likely are not very fair as the front springs were clapped out. The tires where / \ before I swapped them. So the difference is likely more dramatic then "good" stock springs. On this truck the front came up almost right at 2"

Gotcha. So if you were to install them, you may wind up with 4" in the back for your 2" in the front?

Id end up making some shackles to make the amount of rear lift minimal/none.

At the moment it likely doesn't have enough shock to go much faster then what the stock rear springs will do anyways. Faster meaning in the rough stuff like at the dunes. NOT going down the road.

Took for drive. Everything works great. Very happy to have went with this kit.
Waiting on some more goodies to come in so I can re-set the alignment where it needs to be. It drives good now, just the steering wheel is off-center. I have new borgeson shaft coming and some steering links. So will align it with those installed.

All the steering parts installed. This Bronco already had a RedHead box (was a reason I bought it, whomever puts one of those in likely at least cares/knows something)

Went with the ambo stuff. I got the kit from Desolate to do this at a discount since ordered bunch of other stuff, there is nothing really special here they just put it in an easy to buy package. Also did the borgeson shaft, though the stock rag joint setup was still in good shape, even at 197k miles. Ended up having to replace the front u-joints in the axle shafts as the drivers had a bound up cap/bearings. Went with Spicer 5-760X's up front.
So hopefully be able to take it for a spin a bit later today.

Have more goodies on the way, but is almost ready to transition over to daily driver status which is about perfect timing for us to stop having salt on the roads.

Added few things on the inside too.
Like this console setup from Desolate. I had all the gauges already, for what ever reason there un-matched ness doesn't bother me. I kind of like the trans temp and coolant being different at a glance, makes it easy to tell. The big one is a tach, since this cluster didn't have one. WRX seats too (yes same ones from the 94)

Also sold the blue '94. Did good on it and more/less got the drivetrain for my 79 f-250 for Free with that deal. Dana 60, 10.25 rear, efi 460, c6, bw1356, also have a 8 lug dana 44 now that may do something with.

I’ve been thinking about this same kit… any feedback on it vs stock arms with a lift spring? Not trying to build a pre runner either, Truck spends 95% of its time on road. Only off road is fields and dirt roads. I like the way the desolate kit looks but am on the fence with how much it costs.

I have had the other kits too, and have installed them for people. Really not apples to apples. If you just want it a little higher the springs and shocks are great. Desolate even has that kit too.

The kit with the arms is on a different level. Really makes the whole front end work better. I have not driven it a ton but the bit I have on the street, in my opinion, drives nicer and feels a bunch more solid. The rest of the front on this truck was in good shape, newer tie-rods, newer bushings everywhere and still noticeably different/better.
I wanted something that will work good in the dunes when I take this out there. if it was a street truck not sure I would of went the arms. The leveling kit I put on that 96 has my questioning the procomp stage 2 4" lift on my 92 bronco. It will likely very soon get a set of the desolate arms to go with it.

I also have camburg front uppers and Icon coil overs on my towrig. It truely does spend most its time on the street but it also does everything better. Zero regrets on that truck either. Its another one that I could of just put spacers on and called it good but didn't.

Neat stuff came for the 78 today

Put dash cover in the 96, works fine for my needs. I also like the more black on the blue.

rear seat cover from the 92, I like it. The '92 got an all black one

Also fixed the brakes and put in new braided stainless flex lines. Then took it out for a spin

Really happy with how everything came together.
