Ok, so i want to re-gear my bronco, but i will need a new D44 carrier because i want 4.56s and there is a break at 3.73, i think. This wouldnt be a problem except i have an Aussie locker up front, and i dont know if it would fit in the new carrier. So i guess my question is, what is the physical difference between the different carriers that might not allow use of the same locker? I mean, if there isnt a difference in size for where the locker sits, i should be able to re-use it, right? Thx in advance!

Your aussie locker will work fine with the new carrier. The only difference it would make as far as a locker goes would be if you were getting something that replaced the entire carrier, such as a detroit or arb. Your aussie only replaces the spiders, which are the same regardless of the carrier. Even then you can usually find "thick cut" gears that will work with the smaller carrier, but again, this doesnt effect you.
