So here is the deal. Back in February I installed a lockright and new diff cover on my D44. I had to pull axle shafts of course. Reinstall all that stuff and filled it with gear oil. Afterwards it leaked gear oil out of the axle tube on driverside (short side) for a couple of days after I drove it then it stopped and hasn't leaked until today. Today I pulled that axle shaft and replaced it with a new one and same problem. It's leaking again. Whats your thoughts on the situation.

Sounds like you tore the inner axle seal, when you pulled the axle shaft.

no just gear oil in the axle tube from the axle change. all seems good now
