well since our suburban's tranny is gone and its HUGE! (long)

my dad has decided to get a smaller car

not a bronco...but its still coool

an 06' jeep wrangler unlimited (white)

yeah i know its a jeep but he's letting me "pimp it out"

so heres what im doing to it

1. 3'' body lift w/ rancho shocks
2. 31'' tires (undecided)
3. either 15'' procomp rims or my old 15'' eagle alloy rims (new rims for me!)
2. tube front bumper
3. 3 6'' off road lights for the bumper
4. side rails
5. rear tube bumper
6. rock doors
7. side mirror relocaters
8. neoprene seat covers
9. K&N cold air intake

so whataya think about that??

the best thign is, is that my dad isnt relaly so happy about me having a 4x4 and going offroading...so i dont get to go very much

but he said if we get the jeep he wants to start going with me....so that will be awesome...and i'll get to pull him out (hehe)

i think its a jeep. you can polish a turd all you want but in the end it is a turd.
Your dad's gonna wheel an 06 Jeep? Man, you guys must b rollin in cash....if i give you my Paypal can I get a few bucks?:smokin:
The Jeep rims wont fit a bronco 5x4.5 vs 5x5.5 and it's still a jeep, i hope it doesnt burn when he pees. Where's the pics?
Don't go with a body lift, get a budget boost for the suspension. You can run 31's w/no lift on that anyway. Get some pics. :thumbup

Why does everyone think people that wheel newer rigs are rolling cash? You don't have to destroy your rig to qualify it as wheeling. If you're gonna wheel a newer vehicle, a Jeep is the one get.
Steve, isn't there a pile of jeep stuff at your house he could buy?

That is absolutely correct. Do NOT run the 3" body lift. You will wind up taking it back off, anyway.

There are several sources for budget boost lifts. And yes, the 31" tires will fit with no lift, but you will get some rubbing. I would recommend, however, if you're gonna spend that coin, anyway, spend a little extra and get a Rubicon. You absolutely will not regret it, and it comes with 31" MT/R's, lockers, gears, 4:1 low range, etc.

Add a cheap 4" lift and 33" tires and it's a nice solid wheeler right out of the box with no other mods.

Naw. These days you can pick up an Unlimited for about $24K, and a Rubicon Unlimited for about $27K. They're changing the Wrangler...all new for '07, and so they are going to be wanting to get rid of all the existing inventory. You'll see great prices by mid-summer.

And the stuff he described above was only about $2K - $2.5K, even with the tires and wheels.
get the rubicon, it already has enough parts to make it extremely wheelable

If I had to get a jeep off the lot and wheel it, that's exactly what I'd do. Rubi's are plenty capable.
I like Jeep's anything with that 4.0 I-6 is amazing, my Cherokee that my dad has is to tight. Try to get a winch! that would be so sick and make sure you switch those stock rims... there horrible
I think its a good vehicle, not a turd as some bitch HATERS may think... I would however skip the BODY lift and get a SUSPENSION lift, you will be much happier with that!

Good luck!

BTW...

Go to http://jeepforum.com for some anti-hate. :thumbup
if you don't get the rubicon, just find someone selling the rims and tires off one and stick them on there. but i would the the 'con if it were me.

and tube bumpers are gay
my dad doesnt like the rubicon...his choice on the car...

...and i know its not a bronco...but if it gets him out there wheeling with me, that'll be pretty cool

i was going with the body lift juct b/c they are cheap...but my dad might want to go wiht a suspension lift...

im also getting a bumper sticker that says "official jeep recovery vehicle"
...and i'd be the one getting the winch...not him
