I have an 88 FSB that I keep in show conditions. The only cosmetic flaw with the truck is 2 hairline cracks on the dash. I bought a new dash (whole damn thing) that has no cracks on it. However I want to coat it with vinyl or something that will keep the stock look and not be a royal pain in the ass to do. I would like to hear what any of you other guys have done. Please chime in. Money is not a factor here. I dont do things cheap I do em right.;) ;)

What do you mean coat it in something? Like paint it, or just a dashpad cover?

If want to paint it, Krylon Fusion works awesome, just make sure to use Flat or Semi-Gloss. Gloss looks like ass on interiors.

If you're looking for a dashpad cover, most parts stores (Checker,NAPA,etc.) can order a custom made one.

If you keep the new one covered and out of the sun, say with a dash mat. And regular use of vinyl cleaner/protectant should keep it from cracking. Or at least slow the process. Florida sun is a killer.
