Iam new here, and I know Broncos rattle. But there are times when I feel like the dash on me 93 eb is going to fall off. The passenger side shakes like crazy all the time. I heard there mite be a repair kit or something to correct this. Please help if you have any suggestions.

I'm not entirely sure, but I believe it is something to reinforce the area that causes the dash to rattle, some sort of metal piece and adhesive of some sort, probably an epoxy. That's just a guess though.

I have the same problem, its the big piece that suports the underside of the dash the whole way across. If you look right where you open the door at the dash you can see the bolt at the end of it. Mine is busted there. A bodyshop guy I know siad it would be a PITA to replace that whole carrier piece. He didn't say anything about a kit, unless thats what it is? im gona check it out to.... Thanks Jermil

yeah thats the part number....its like 10bucks

all it is is a metal bracket, 3 rivets, and instructions. you need to pull the dash back a bit and drill and rivit the bracket on.

mine was was starting to crack around where they want you to rivet it to so I had to use some epoxy to hold it together.

I read somewhere recently that that was a recal issue with ford and that they should fix it for free. Apparently if it is left unchecked it can cause your steering column to have problems. I believe the write up said something about ford using a plastic peice that wasnt strong enough to hold the dash board on.

I just found plenty of bronco recalls for various years here:

recall search engine

I did not see however, the dash problem in there. I wish I could remember where the heck I saw it.

How much did you pay for that. Looks like a couple of pop rivets and a metal bracket, anything else in there?

It cost $ 12.00 from my local Ford dealer.
Thats it, what you see is what you get.
There is about 30 steps according to the instructions including just about removing the whole damn dash. Oh well, like usual I wouln't go by the instructions. I will cut alot of steps out and figure out a easier way to get that bracket on there... :thumbup

have fun, you pretty much need to pull the dash back to be able to use a rivit gun to install the rivets

there has to be an easier (albeit more ghetto) way of doing it.
