Hey guys I have a 1994 BKO XLT and am trying to locate a daytime running light module. Anyone have any idea where I might be able to pick one up? I checked my local autozone and napa but neither of them can get them anymore. If anyone has a line on one let me know. Or if anyone from up North could get one from a salvage yard that would be fantastic. Thanks a lot guys.

Are you looking for a replacement one for your truck, if so I wasnt aware that DRLs even exsisted when Broncos were being made. All vehicles that I know of do not have a DRL module, the lights are controlled by the BCM. You could make your own by wiring in a photocell on the dash, but your truck probably does not have the extra bulbs for DRL.

All Canadian vehicles have daytime running lights and ford has the wiring in the US versions as well. It's up by the rad support on the drivers side and just has a cap on it. Jopes thanks a lot. I swear I scowered the graveyard earlier and didn't see anything.

Daytime Running Lamp (DRL) System Overview, Testing & Wiring Diagram in a 96 Bronco & F-Series
Source: by Ford via miesk5 at FSB

btw, My 96XL, bought new doesn't have the DRL Module, but has the connector.

Ford says in 96 Owner's Guide; "...Canadian vehicles only..."
If you don't have the Guide for the 96, get it here on-line for free by Hiller Ford

The daytime running lamp system is designed to turn the high beam headlamps on, with a reduced light output, and without illuminating the high beam indicator lamp in the instrument panel (04320) when the following conditions exist:
The ignition switch lock cylinder (11582) is in the RUN position.
The parking brake is fully released.
The headlamp switch (11654) is in the OFF or PARK position.

and for posterity:
Before performing any lighting systems test, check that the battery is fully charged, that battery connections are clean and tight, and that burned out fuses and bulbs have been replaced. The low beam headlamps should operate correctly. If not, refer to Section 17-01. The daytime running lamp module is grounded through the low beam circuit while operating the high beam

Removal
Remove screw retaining daytime running lamps control (15A272) to radiator support (16138).
Disconnect data link connector (14489).
Remove daytime running lamps control.
Installation
Follow removal procedures in reverse order.
Tighten retaining screw to 2.6-3.2 Nm (23-29 lb-in).
Inspection and Verification
Verify the vehicle owner's original concern by operating the daytime running lamps to duplicate the vehicle owner's concern.
Inspect to determine if one of the following mechanical or electrical concerns apply:
VISUAL INSPECTION CHART
Mechanical
Damaged headlamps
Damaged connectors
Damaged ignition switch
Damaged daytime running lamp control module
Damaged parking brake switch
Damaged headlamp switch
Damaged multi-function switch

Electrical
Open instrument panel fuse (10A)
Open power distribution box fuses (15A, 30A)
Circuitry open/shorted
the concern(s) remains after the inspection, determine the symptom(s) and proceed to the following symptom chart.
