Figured id post pics of this.. Was having trouble pulling it out by hand or with a crow bar.. ended up using a come along strap.. worked real good.. too good..

just run the strap (whatever size) behind the diff. connect the other end to the bumper, tow points or whatever and crank it.. i placed a milkcrate in case it fell.. cranked it just enough to dislodge itself then i got under there and was able to pull it by hand.. some pics..

Sweet. Did you try putting a wrench on a pinion nut, setting it against the housing and wackin it with a hammer? Thats usually what does the trick for me.

Did you make or buy those shock mounts? If you bought em, whered ya get em?

i said pinion instead of ring. usually just put a wrench on one of the bolts that holds the ring to the carrier, turn until it hits the housing, and then use that a leverage point to "pull" it out.
